Wonderful trip to A'Famosa!!!! ^^

Yeah~ came back from Melaka yesterday after having a nice and yet tiring one day trip to there…

Woke up at 6 o’clock in the morning and started to prepare everything that I needed to use on this trip. Waited for Sara to come and fetch me to Pudu Raya and by 7.30a.m. We were both stuck in the awful morning jam. Ended up, we were the latest to arrive…><

Anyway, Grace, Charlene, Kenson and Chi Yee have arrived and we went straight to the counter to buy the 9 o’clock ticket to Melaka.

I actually slept through the whole trip to Melaka and by 11 o’clock, we finally arrived Melaka Central. Got down from the bus and went to check out whether is there any bus that can take us to the A’Famosa Resort. Too bad that we actually missed the only bus that will take us straight into the Resort. And the person in charge in the bus booth said that there are other buses that will take us to the outside of the resort and we have to walk about 1 km to the resort. When I heard that we have to walk 1 km, I was like “Ceh~1km mar~ I sure can one!” Plus, the taxi drivers are charging us RM 50 just to get to there! And we have to use 2 cars since one car cannot fit in 6 peoples!!!><>

We all decided to use the bus to get to A’ Famosa. The bus will come around 12 something, so we went to have our lunch at the Central. We went to try the chicken rice ball at there. The rice ball is a bit hard but at least the steamed chicken is a comfort. The steamed chicken is smooth and quite tasty too.

At 12.20 p.m., we hop on to the bus and started our long journey to A’ Famosa’s front door… it has been a long time since I sat my old school bus. The bus looks just like my school bus, with steel railing and one big seat that can accommodate 2 people. Such a nostalgic taste…when I was in primary school, without my brother and sister’s supervision, you just can’t imagine how naughty I am in the bus, playing dangerous games, having the bus driver shouting to us, asking us to sit tight and don’t play around…

We arrived at the so called ‘A’ Famosa –is-1km-away’ crossroad and started to walk. We walk about a few meters and found out that the road was kind of deserted and things around us are only overgrown trees and grasses plus a big hot merciless sun hanging up in the sky. So, when we saw a mamak shop selling ice kacang at there, we went in and asked whether we are going in the right road…and the person said…

“Betul, kamu jalan terus dan akan sampai punya.”

And Char asked “Berapa jauh lagi?”

“Oh! Lebih kurang 3km lar!”

0.0 3 km………………………

Well, there is no turning back, so the 6 of us, having a cap on our head and an umbrella giving extra protection from the awful heat, we started to walk our way to A’ Famosa.

Yeah right…1 Km…MY HEAD!

The road seems to be endless and cars keep on passing by. When we saw the A’ Famosa golf course, we were so relieved! Thinking that we finally walked through the 3 km!!! But it turns out that the bloody gate is locked!!! GRRRR!!!! Bloody hell…

We have to walk a big round through the golf course to get to A famosa instead…when Char said that what use is this big golf course if no one is using it, I nearly wanted to clap my hand in agreeing but I was short in breath…looks like 4 months of laziness finally caught up to me…

After walking for like endless hours, we finally arrived the front door and were so relieved!!! When the guards saw us, he asked “Kamu semua jalan ke sini ah?!” we were too tired to say anything and just nodded…and his expression was… “You guys are crazy…”

After that, he asked us to wait at the round about to wait for the shuttle bus to take us to the Safari. Somehow, I think he pity us for walking such a long way and nearly collapsed in gratitude when we arrived his guard booth…

Luckily there was a shuttle bus to take us to the Safari or else I really will be aching all over now if I have to walk another few kilometers to the Safari. The strong wind blowing to our faces made me feel a bit more recharge and around 2.30 p.m. we finally get to get into the Safari and have fun! Though the person at the ticket counter warned us that if there is raining, all the shows will be canceled…and guess what, the sky started to turn dark…Bloody hell… but we are not going to waste our RM 35 for nothing! So, we rushed into the Safari and got amazed by 3 little tigers in the cage where if we want to take pictures with them, we have to pay for it.

We missed the wild Wild West show, so we rushed to the multi animal show. Along the way, there were so many cute animals at there!!! Rabbits!!!!><>

After the show, I feel like hitting my youngest sister’s head. This show is call nice?! My god! I can’t even interpret one word what the guy was saying!!! But at least we had fun after the show… since there were not many people at there, after the show we went in front to have a look on the orang utan called ‘macho man’ (Dear me…who is so low taste to call their pet ‘macho man’?) the fur of the orang utan was not as smooth as I thought but at least it is very trained.

He shook Chi Yee, Kenson and Sara’s hand and kissed their hand. When the instructor kept on saying “Kiss, kiss, kiss”, the orang utan shook Sara’s hand and pulled her towards him and gave her a big wet kiss on the cheek! How adorable that can be! Should have taken the picture. It is so worth keeping this piece of memory! ^^

Then, we went to Monkey Island on a raft like boat. We saw the monkeys were caged in and they looked so lonely in the gloomy place… (Because clouds are gathering and it was drizzling) nothing much was at there for us to play or touch with since they are caged in, so we decided to go back. And we saw the guy that took us here was feeding a whole bunch of small monkeys!! Those monkeys are really small! With yellow colour fur on the hand and green colour fur on the tail and I suppose that they are harmless since they can roam around in there. Active group of monkeys. When the guys nearly fed all of them, Chi Yee and I asked for the last 2 pieces of banana and fed them…since they are afraid of people, we cannot touch nor hug them. There was one small monkey that looked at me cautiously and finally it cannot resist the temptation of the food and took the banana from me!! Aww! When its small hand touched my hand I feel so happy! The hand was so small and furry! And the look on its face…Ahhhh!! Feel like hugging it!! XD

We went to walk more into the island when we found out that the guy actually left us…0.0… and the rain started to become heavy…we are stranded on the island with monkeys!!!

Haha~but that guy did come back to take us back…since it was raining, most of the shows are canceled. So, we walked around the place where all sorts of animals are placed. There were screamer, peacock, peahen, turkeys, rabbits, pony, camel, porcupine, flamingos, and etc…too bad we did not see the raccoons!!><>

Finally, we went in to the chicken farm where all sorts of chickens are placed in there. The very first thing that attracted my attention was a whole lot of little chicks at there!!! Aww!! They are so cute! Imagine how my little chicky looks like when she was small…Aww!! So cute! But they are a bit dangerous too…trying to peck my hand when I tried to touch them… (Erm…the door was not closed…so, I just put my hand inside…no harm down what…XP) Well, Chi Yee encouraged me to let them peck my hand and I thought “Yeah, why not…I have been peck by my chicken before, why can’t I stand the peck of such a small creature?” so, I put my hand inside and the naughty little chicken peck me! My goodness! That really got me a shock! It feels like pinching my hand! Since there were so many of them in there, I don’t find risking my whole hand’s meat tearing off is such a nice idea and pulled my hand back.

There were so many birds in there! One of my favourite is the Sliver Peachen…if I’m not mistaken…Ahaha…didn’t really remember the name of it, but its origin was in China. We spent quite a lot of time in the chicken farm and by the time we came out, it was the elephant show…

This elephant show is way much more better then the stupid multi animal show. At the very beginning of the show, there was one elephant that came right in front f us and waved its long trunk towards us. But we were too far away and cannot touch it. So, I and Sara decided to go nearer to watch. It was very interesting, especially when the instructor stood on the head of the elephant when the elephant was standing up with 2 legs…it was like ‘wow’…they were so high up at there!

At the end of the show, the instructors took their elephant in front and started to sell food to us to feed the elephants. Now, this time I get to touch it! It was quite scary because the trunk move around and it was difficult to touch it. The skin was rough and hard. When I am satisfied touching its trunk, someone bought the food and started to feed them! My goodness! I was trap in between a whole lot of trunks! And the trunks were flying everywhere where I try to avoid it. Finally, I scramble back to my place with total horror…so embarrassing…

After the elephant show, we went to the animal sight-seeing. Where we were seated in a caged car. First, we saw big buffalos and some small little deer. Then, we saw a few crocodile lying lazily by the pond, ignoring us…

Then, we were in the Lion zone. There were a few lion and lioness but they were so lazily slumping on the floor, merely just looking at us driving pass…those eyes were not those hungry eyes that wanted to taste blood…

Then, we saw a few more active tigers playing around with their friends…showing a few similar character of cats though…makes me want to hug them!! ><>

The trip was overall very nice. With all those animals that I can only see on the TV. Though I still cannot touch them, but it is still very nice to get an up close look on them!!! XD Especially able to spend some time with your wonderful friends!! XD

We actually got some problem going back to Melaka central since we need to get back there in time and the stupid Tampin bus station counter close at 6.30 pm! We will never make it since we were waiting for the taxi to come and fetch us at 6.20 pm… darn…so; the taxi driver took us to Alor Gajah instead. But with the extra charge of RM 25…

In the taxi, the driver told us that he saw us walking to A’ Famosa this afternoon…OMG…this is so embarrassing…since he say he recognize the 6 of us, holding an umbrella walking towards the resort and when he came out, having a new customer, he saw us finally arrived at there…So pai seh… hehe….but, some how I feel proud of myself for walking such a long distance…this means that I am still a healthy girl! XP

Lucky that we got a 7 o’clock bus back to KL!!! On the way back, I was having a headache, so I slept while others chatting…so nice…but the headache didn’t eased until I got home, lying down, watching TV…sigh…Home sweet home…no wonder I am so attached to the house…XP
